Some of the most interesting work at 42 happens outside the curriculum, often after hours. Alexander's autonomous delivery drone, FlyWeb, opened our Built @ 42 series.
from fpv to last mile.
It started with a fascination with FPV drones, the fast first-person-view kind flown through a live camera feed. It grew into a concrete idea for last-mile logistics: a long-range autonomous drone platform for fast, more sustainable delivery of things like food or medical supplies, with a payload that is actually useful in real life.
six months of prototyping.
By February 2026 Alexander had been prototyping for about six months and documenting it openly, including the parts that matter most. He redesigned a hexacopter frame to make it stiffer without unnecessary weight, built a high-capacity battery pack, ran flight tests, and iterated whenever the results didn't match the spec sheets.
where 42 comes in.
At 42 Berlin he built the low-level foundations, C included, and the systems mindset you need when software and hardware have to behave as one. If you work in hardware, urban logistics, drone regulation or compliance and are open to exchanging notes or testing partnerships, he is worth meeting. The project repo is linked from our LinkedIn post.
